Green River offers two grades in Red Birch, providing you a selection that ranges from a soft red clear grade to a lively character product for those seeking a rustic look. 		Vineyard Red Birch is graded for clear red heartwood. While there will be some natural color variations, the darker and lighter toned pieces are graded out to maintain as uniform a color as possible. This product is practically free from sapwood and imperfections; there may be an occasional small streak or other natural characteristic. Lengths range from 11” to 7’, averaging approximately 3.00’.

		Nantucket Red Birch contains natural color variations between lighter toned sapwood and rich, reddish-brown heartwood. Including sound knots, streaks and color variations. This is truly a lively character product; showing the full appearance of the specie. Lengths range from 11” to 7’, averaging approximately 2.25’.

Green River Pre-Finished Red Birch is noted for its natural luster, satin-like appearance, and its durability, creating a truly distinctive floor. Pre-finished Red Birch features a reddish-brown coloration and often contains figured grain patterns. We are careful to purchase our lumber sorted for the red heartwood to assure as much consistency as possible in its coloration.
