Green River offers two grades in Red Birch, providing you a selection that ranges from a soft red clear grade to a lively character product for those seeking a rustic look. 		Eastham Red Birch is selected to have clean red boards along with the natural color variations between lighter toned sapwood and rich, reddish-brown heartwood. Eastham Red Birch allows minimal streaks and small character marks. No more than 45% of any piece may be sapwood. Lengths range from 11” to 7’, averaging approximately 3.00’.

		Nantucket Red Birch contains natural color variations between lighter toned sapwood and rich, reddish-brown heartwood. Including sound knots, streaks and color variations. This is truly a lively character product; showing the full appearance of the specie. Lengths range from 11” to 7’, averaging approximately 2.25’.

Green River Pre-Finished Red Birch is noted for its natural luster, satin-like appearance, and its durability, creating a truly distinctive floor. Pre-finished Red Birch features a reddish-brown coloration and often contains figured grain patterns. We are careful to purchase our lumber sorted for the red heartwood to assure as much consistency as possible in its coloration.
