Hard Maple
Green River Hard Maple is distinguished by its whiteness and superior uniformity of color. Our grading of maple exceeds most standards. We use only Northern Hard Maple lumber, some of the most sought after maple lumber on world markets. There simply is no substitute.

Green River First Hard Maple is an all white sapwood product making a naturally light colored and durable floor. No brown heartwood is allowed. There may be an occasional small mineral streak. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 3.00'.

Green River Select Hard Maple has a light overall appearance. It contains both white sapwood and light brown heartwood. No more than 45% of any piece may be light brown. Limited, small character marks are allowed. Lengths range from 11" - 7', and average approximately 2.50'.

Green River Natural Hard Maple is a lively character product, Natural maple shows the full appearance of the specie. Coloration ranges from white sapwood to brown heartwood including occasional streaks. Character marks reveal information about the life of a tree. Many of us who work with wood prefer the visually interesting appearance of Natural grades. Overall, this grade will appear more variegated than the Select grade. An occasional hole of less than 1⁄2” in diameter may need to be filled. Lengths range from 11" - 7', averaging approximately 2.25'.
